UPDATE May 2022: Improving on all of our current USB cable lineup, USB A and USB B ends have been upgraded with the more superior and thicker gold-plated connectors from Taiwan, resulting in price being increased accordingly. The value of this increase, however, is definitely of great value because the sounds improvement from this upgrade is nothing short of ‘slight’.

There is a sense of enhanced timbre, tonality and 3-dimensional organic staging while vocal remains prominent and upfront.


Building on to our popular USB cable from Gotham GAC-4/1, we are now introducing a version we have finally and successfully protoyped that will bring a different flavour of sound to the digital transport of music.

Meticulous and more challenging in construction, here is our Power Isolated Gotham GAC-2 V1 Hi-fi USB cable.

Instead of a Starquad arrangement where the entire Data +, Data -, vBus and Ground leads are housed within a shield, we uses two cables to isolate the vBus and USB shield separately from the rest. A silver-plated copper coaxial cable will carry the power by itself ensuring maximum cleanliness from noise in transporting the current while the rest of the leads will be taken care by the other shielded cable from Gotham GAC-2 V1. Having two layers of shields in this Gotham cable not only maximise the noise rejection in data transmission, we chose this cable also because of the presence of another noise cancellation PVC layer surrounding the two conductors.

Users of our Gotham GAC-4/1 USB cable will know the neutrality and musicality that cable brings. It is perfect for Vocal, Classical and Jazz genres where the cable brings out the smoothness, creaminess and lushness of these music that excite from the high midrange and above.

This Power Isolated Gotham GAC-2 V1 Hi-fi USB cable carries the dynamism that sparkles for Pop and Rock genres to shine. A fast bottom-end authority produces the punch and tightness of bass you can almost feel (depending on equipment setup), while the improved quietness of the background as a result of the power isolation design reveal a more 3D soundstage – headphone perception becomes more multi-dimensional while speaker perception revealed an improvement in depth and layering.

Both ends of the USB cable are terminated with Taiwanese-made, high quality gold-plated set of USB connectors.

Due to the cable being made with two twisted cables, the increased in the diameter and thickness do not allow the termination of the ends to facilitate other ends like Mini, Micro and Type C at the moment.

Soldered entirely with WBT 4% silver solder.

Cables are sleeved to protect the twisted cables and prevent further vibration and/or any microphonics while adding an aesthetic outlook.
