Description
Our Gotham range of cables is increasing and this is the second digital audio cable after the 75 ohm S/PDIF cable was introduced earlier.
Increasingly popular, AES/EBU connections have been springing up in high end DACs for audiophiles and audio interfaces for audio engineers. Being a great bandwidth of transmission and low noise introduction, AES/EBU are ideal for low-jitter audio signals where purity and refinement are desired, because the XLR termination is more closely impedance-matched than most 75 ohm S/PDIF cable whose termination from the hardware ends are not BNC.
Comes in a beautiful purple shade, Gotham GAC-2 AES cable is soft and flexible yet it sports a double-shielding build with a starquad configuration of two conductors with two PE strands to consistently hold the conductors in place no matter how they are bent and flexed.
AES/EBU also has the advantage of running long lengths without fear of signal degradation and loss.
Gotham GAC-2 AES cable conductors are made of Linear Crystal Oxygen Free (LCOF) Copper. It is a high-quality copper material with a significant reduction in the number of crystals. As a result, signal transmission can be faster and more accurate.
Soldered entire with WBT 4% silver content solder.
Default plugs terminated are Neutriks Silver-plated XLR. Top up $3 to change to Gold-plated XLR on both ends.
